Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who breached a fence and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the Australian man shoving aside photographers and lunging at Grande while the cast walked down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a performance. His Instagram account features clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last year.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," wrote an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user questioned.

Fans Voice Worry Over Grande's Well-being

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another message on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted security officers at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested online networks to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.
