The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works in total, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
