England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The three finalists have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.

The 2025 recipient will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being nominated for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
